Survey, Development, Animals
15 Mar 2007

Survey

Today, or over the next few days, owners of Barclay Place
will receive a survey that includes information about the
laundry room, leases, and trash. Please complete and return
the survey and pay careful attention to the information. We
need to hear from all owners.

In addition, if you are an owner with tenants, please relay
the information included to your residents.

New Development

On March 13, 2007, the Board of County Commissioners voted
5-0 to approve the development of 130 homes on the ranch
(L&L Acres) across Lake Mary Blvd. The entrance will be at
the cut-through located between Heathrow Dr. and Tournament
Dr.

There was a lot of good news in the approval for us. First,
it appears that Heathrow and the new developer will be
installing complete landscaping on the medians on Lake Mary
Blvd. from Heathrow to Markham Woods Road including crepe
myrtles and such. The costs will be split between Heathrow
and the new homeowners association. We will receive some
obvious benefits from that.

I don't know when the construction will begin, but the
developer, James Dicks, will be building a home for he and
his family in the new development so he's committed to
protecting as much of the natural environment as possible.
It looks like they'll be a minimum of 1 Acre sites
(although that has not been confirmed).

On a side note...

Thanks to the diligence of our community residents, Barclay
Place is making inroads in ridding our community of
dangerous feral cats. Please keep up the good work.
